Show notes
So, in today’s show, I’ll explore the main announcements that Apple made on June 3rd 2019 during the keynote at their annual worldwide developer conference (aka WWDC).
From new hardware to the next versions of Apple’s operating systems, I’ll share with you my take on what it means for us, Macpreneurs.
WWDC19 Keynote
Here are my 3 main takeaways from this event:
- Apple is doubling-down on security and privacy across the board
- Apple is listening to its pro customer base even if it represents a minority
- Apple is committed to helping developers create great experiences across all its platforms
And if I could summarise all the announcements in 1 word, it would be: “Finally!”

2019 Mac Pro
For whom? Hardcore professionals who need out-of-this-world processing power.
We’re talking about movie production sets, music recording studios, multi-platform app & game developers and the like here.
Basically, companies that need more power than what the fully specced iMac Pro can offer or want the modularity and for which time is worth more than the money they’ll spend.
If you don’t need that much power and the modularity, the iMac Pro will be more than enough and for about the same price as the most basic Mac Pro, you’ll get twice the amount of RAM (64 instead of 32), 1TB of SSD (instead of 256GB) and a built-in 5K display.

Pro Display XDR
For whom? Professionals who need extreme colour accuracy through the entire video production process
